I am belatedly writing to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for your counseling and suggestions, and equally important-your actual servicing and re-awakening" of my 1970 Porsche® 911E recently. I am more than happy with the final product.

As background and reminder, I bought this car in NC in 1987 to keep and restore overtime as a collectors car. I have had the engine overhauled twice(last time-1995),the car re-painted, new carpeting, etc-but the mechanical fuel injection component always never seemed to stay tuned. For probably the last 3-4 years, this car has been un-driven "hibernating" covered in my garage-waiting a rainy day (figuratively-I never drive it in the rain). I checked out several shops locally before first meeting with you. I was very impressed with your knowledge of Porsche®'s in general and this model in particular. Most importantly, I was impressed with your suggestion to consider swapping out the old mechanical fuel injection for a new PMO 40 carburetor kit. I deliberated a bit about keeping the car "pure" (i.e., repairing the mechanical fuel injection system as is) or making the car run more reliably as you suggested. The latter won out and was the right decision. My 911- not only runs great now, the acceleration and dependability are much improved from what I remember from my old system. Finally, there are numerous secondary tips and improvements (e.g., new recommendations, you also suggested tires and shocks, single battery, etc)- which have all resulted in bringing the fun back again in driving this now almost 40 year "classic."

I own a 1970 280SL Mercedes. I've had it for 15 years and drive it to work daily. For the last four years, the car hasn't run well. It misfired and hesitated.
